Editorial Policy
How we research, write, review and correct content, and how we keep commercial interests out of editorial judgement.
Last updated
A finance site asks readers to trust it with decisions that cost real money. Trust of that kind should be checkable, so this page sets out the process we hold ourselves to and the commitments you can hold us to.
Editorial independence
Investo24 has no commercial relationships at all. There are no affiliate links, no sponsored posts, no paid placements and no advertising on this site, so there is no arrangement that could influence what we publish even if we wanted one.
Concretely, we commit that:
- No provider sees, reviews or approves content about them before publication. We may check a factual claim with them; we do not submit copy for approval.
- Nothing on this site earns us a commission, a referral fee or a placement fee when you act on it.
- We decline commercial arrangements that come with editorial conditions attached.
- If this ever changes, the disclosure will appear above the first monetised link and on every page carrying one — before that link ships, not after.
Who writes and who reviews
Every article carries a named author with published credentials, a publication date and a last-reviewed date. Nothing appears under a house byline, a pen name or “the team”. Author profiles are on our authors page.
Investo24 is currently written and edited by one person, so no article carries an independent second reviewer. We would rather say that plainly than display a fact-checked badge that no second pair of eyes stands behind. Where a page makes a claim that could change what you do with your money, the mitigation is sourcing rather than headcount: the primary document is cited so you can check it yourself.
Adding a named reviewer for tax and regulatory content is the next change we intend to make to this process, and this section will say so when it happens.
We do not publish AI-generated articles under a human byline. Language tools may assist with editing, but the research, the judgements and the responsibility are the named author's.
Sourcing standards
We prefer primary sources and cite them where a reader might want to check. In order of preference:
- Fund documentation — the KID/KIID, prospectus, factsheet and annual report published by the fund provider.
- Provider-published fee schedules and terms, rather than a summary of them.
- Regulators, central banks, tax authorities and statutory compensation schemes.
- Recognised data vendors, where a figure is not available at source.
We do not treat a competitor comparison site as a source. Where a figure cannot be verified at source, we either say it is unverified or leave it out.
Keeping content current
Fees and rules change, and stale accuracy is still inaccuracy. Pages carrying fee data, tax treatment or regulatory status are reviewed on a scheduled cycle and again whenever a change we are aware of makes a page wrong.
A review updates the last-reviewed date whether or not anything changed, so the date tells you when a human last looked, not merely when a word was edited. We do not refresh dates cosmetically to appear current.
Corrections
We correct openly rather than quietly. When we get something wrong that could have affected a reader's decision, we fix the text, add a dated correction note explaining what was wrong, and leave that note in place. We do not delete a page to make an error disappear.
Typographical fixes that do not change meaning are made without a note. Everything else gets one.
To report an error, write to giorgoslankonakes@gmail.com. Point us at the source you believe is right and we will check it against the primary document. Providers disputing a characterisation get the same route as everyone else, and no privileged one.
Advertising and monetisation
There is currently none. Every link on this site is editorial: to our own guides and calculators, to a regulator, or to a fund's own documents. None of them earns us anything. The market charts carry TradingView's own attribution links, which TradingView requires and which earn us nothing either.
We publish no sponsored posts, no paid guest articles and no paid backlinks. If monetisation is ever introduced, a monetised link will be visually distinct from an editorial one, will carry rel="sponsored nofollow", and will sit beneath a disclosure the reader sees before the click rather than in a footnote after it.
The limits of what we publish
We publish research and education for a general audience, not personal recommendations. No page here takes account of an individual's circumstances, and none of it is a substitute for advice from a licensed adviser in your country. The full position is in our risk disclaimer.
